The EI Gold Elite has gold pins and is tested for microphonics and defectives before they are shipped to anyone. Gain is very good and the tone is strong throughout the frequency range. A "Thrilling" bass response, singing warm midrange, and a great sparkle to the high end. Never a "dull" tone. Clean is very, very good with great detail and a very musical quality, and overdriven they sing out with great sustain, a defined tone, and warm midrange response. Overall, one of the best new tubes we have ever seen. |
