Shades
of Standel, our new Bakersfield amp is a rockabilly, country player's
dream.
It
is designed from a very early Standel schematic featuring the famous
Baxendal active
treble and bass tone circuit, plus the
Standel Accent control for that Clear Twang, and driving Rockabilly
rock tone!
We
have added more power with a pair of KT66 power tubes (50 watts!), a
Torres Dual Stage Master and a fabulous tone blend control to make a
wonderful new and unique sounding all tube amp.
The
Bakersfield has been researched and designed over the last two
years by Torres Senior amp Tech Cameron McLeod working together with
Dan Torres to build a masterful new hand-wired, point to point high
performance tube amp.
Construction
is with the best parts and materials, top quality transformers,
Ceramic tube sockets, orange drop caps (mallory available too), carlin
switches, switchcraft jacks etc

The Bakersfield retains the 7199 driver tube of the Standel and the
tube filaments are run on DC for a super low noise amp design.
The standard model is a handy 1 x 12" combo with a Weber California
Speaker (JBL tone). Other options are available. We have a
few REAL
vintage JBL D120 Speakers for your Bakersfield if you want.
