The "Brown Face" tone circuit is actually more advanced then the later BlackFace circuit and the warmth and smooth tone it provides is incredible clean and overdriven. It requires a couple of special parts, we have them all!! All the features, all wired, assembled, biased, tested, ready to go. An all new Torres Designed complete "art in electronics" point to point super high performance rebuild of these amplifiers. Features included: All new Preamp and tone circuitry with the Rare and super coolFender Brown face early 60's Vibrolux Clean Preamp tone. This circuit uses a special "Tapped Treble" pot for a sophisticated, warm, tone with a totally new midrange tonality with great definition and great tone throughout. All new channel switching HIGH GAIN two stage tube overdrive. No more funky ugly tone, full, big overdrive with tons of sustain and best of all, REALLY GREAT control with a drive and master control so much better they should have new names!! PLUS all new Torres design SUPERCHARGER additional overdrive circuit that is cut in with the main overdrive to drive the input preamp up to a higher level (adjustable) just like you turned on a clean overdrive pedal at the same time you switched into your high gain channel - KILLER!! PLUS all rewired, point to point, all new Tubular Polyester audiophoile caps, all new power supply with much lower noise and a huge bottom end boost from the special Torres "Cap Pak" filter network. Finally a TUBE DRIVEN TRANSFORMER reverb and a TUBE DRIVEN active effects loop. Your amp is boosted up to 6 preamp tubes and can use the same 5881's or 6L6, or KT66, or KT77, or EL34, or 6CA7 tubes - the conversion is done during the mod. Fully adjustable bias and the Torres Multi Power phase inverter gives warmth and sustain, and by changing just one tube, you can change the output power of the amp!!
