We like to hear a lot of tone from our amps. These transformers are extensively tested, produce the correct voltages, and sound wonderful. Hammond has lots of great power transformers with lots of choices. You can pick the exact transformer for your new amp, or to modify an existing amp into what you really want!! All these power transformers mount on top of the chassis. They do not require a cut out. AND 272FX, 270HX, 273BX, 274BX all fit the same mounting holes!!
